Cricket Open House at 8400 E Patrick

On October 11, 2025, we held an exciting open house at 8400 E. Patrick Street, which brought Frederick neighbors, local leaders, and community partners together for an afternoon that combined great conversations with hands-on cricket fun at the proposed site of the cricket park and multi-sport venue.

More than 100 attendees joined us on the day, including Maryland’s Lt. Governor Aruna Miller and Delegate Karen Simpson, reinforcing how significant this project has become for the region. Guests enjoyed cricket demonstrations led by youth athletes, hayrides, food, and family-friendly activities, all of which helped guests of all ages connect with the internationally beloved sport that we aspire to grow in the region.

The heart of the event came during the open Q&A, where residents asked thoughtful questions about the proposed cricket park, its community benefits, and its multi-sport potential. The conversations stirred excitement about the project, brought clarity to its community benefit, and reflected a remarkable shared vision: a community-centered venue that enhances recreation, celebrates cultural diversity, and creates new economic opportunities for Frederick.
